Opened in 1970, the planetarium of the World Museum in the center of Liverpool is the only one in Great Britain with no admission charge. Visitors to the shows amount to 90,000 per year. Since a powerdome SPACEGATE system was installed in January 2012, the planetarium's program includes fulldome shows in addition to the traditional live presentations.
